About Us The Perry family began farming in 2001 when we moved from Connecticut to Belgrade, Maine. We started out growing all of our own food organically, and when we had extra, we would leave it at the end of the driveway with a small self-service jar. The food became popular fast, and people began requesting special orders. Soon, we built a small farm stand, and thus, Winterberry Farm began. Today, we raise sheep, laying hens, rabbits and ducks. We also have two ponies for sleigh rides, a Jersey cow named Bessie and two Australian Shepards: Skip and Rosemary. Although we have grown tremendously since we began, our commitment to sustainable agriculture, family values and social responsibility remains. |
